*Featured Job* Clinical Documentation Coordinator (Hybrid)
Position Summary
Responsible for improving the quality and completeness of clinical documentation. Works with physicians, nursing staff, and HIM coding teams to ensure appropriate reimbursement and clinical severity are captured for DRG-based payers.
Requirements
Education/Experience:
Option 1: RN with 3 years clinical nursing experience + 3 years CDI experience.
Option 2: International MD with 3 years acute care + 3 years CDI experience.
Option 3: Bachelor’s in Healthcare + 3 years HIM inpatient experience + 3 years CDI experience.
Licensing/Certification:
Option 1: Nevada RN license + CCDS, CCDS-O, or CDIP.
Option 2: International MD + CCDS, CCDS-O, or CDIP.
Option 3: HIM or coding certification (CCS, RHIT, RHIA, CPC, CPC-P) and CCDS, CCDS-O, or CDIP.
Knowledge & Skills:
Knowledge of Medicare/DRG coding, hospital policies, clinical procedures, safety, and regulatory standards.
Skilled in chart review, documentation analysis, regulations interpretation, report writing, critical thinking, and effective communication.
Physical & Work Environment:
Office-based with standard equipment; may require sitting for long periods, occasional lifting, and weekend/shift work. Reasonable accommodations available.
