Value Analysis RN
Position Summary
The Clinical Value Analysis RN is responsible for evaluating, recommending, and implementing cost-saving strategies across clinical areas, including services, products, and processes. This role partners with interdisciplinary teams to support evidence-based decision-making, improve quality outcomes, and optimize resource utilization while maintaining high standards of patient care.
Duties & Responsibilities
Leads clinical value analysis initiatives to identify cost-saving opportunities across services, products, and processes
Evaluates clinical supplies, equipment, and technologies for clinical effectiveness, safety, and cost efficiency
Partners with physicians, nursing leadership, and supply chain teams to support evidence-based product and formulary decisions
Analyzes clinical and operational data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement
Develops and presents recommendations for standardization and cost reduction initiatives to leadership committees
Supports implementation of approved value analysis and cost containment strategies across departments
Monitors outcomes related to product changes, utilization, and cost savings to ensure effectiveness
Collaborates with quality, safety, and compliance teams to align initiatives with regulatory and accreditation standards
Participates in interdisciplinary committees related to clinical products, value analysis, and performance improvement
Prepares reports, dashboards, and presentations using data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, or similar systems)
Minimum Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Nursing, Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or equivalent experience
Minimum of four (4) years of progressive clinical experience
Minimum of two (2) years of progressive management or supervisory experience in a hospital setting
Minimum of one (1) year of experience with hospital supply chain processes and clinical product evaluation
Demonstrated experience with clinical data analysis and reporting in a healthcare environment
Licensure & Certification
Current active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Nevada
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
Required Skills & Competencies
Certification in Healthcare Value Analysis, Lean Six Sigma, or equivalent quality/value improvement methodology
Proficiency in data analytics tools such as Tableau, Excel, or similar platforms
Strong experience with evidence-based clinical decision-making and clinical product evaluation in a hospital setting
